New Divide – Delora
A new era with New Divide. Whilst many bands have made their peace with oblivion, New Divide still seem determined to put a ding in the musical universe. ‘Delora’ is their latest offering. It’s moody, expressive and totally gripping.
Singer Charlotte delivers a fine vocal performance, adopting an easy-going style to convey the dark message of the song. It’s a stark contrast, leading us to believe that Charlotte is quite possibly the Hannibal Lecter of the microphone. It certainly appears that every line of the song resonates with her.
There’s an up tempo beat and slight retro sound to ‘Delora’ which adds to the overall magic. This Manchester band with a Yorkshire twist are set for a bright future, so give them a listen. We can’t wait to see what they release next.
