Babe Punch – Stanford
Stanford is the second single from Nottingham alt rock band ‘Babe Punch’. Molly Godber has an impressive vocal range in this catchiest of rock songs with angst ridden lyrics. The music sits astride a 4-cylinder rock engine of Abbie Roberts (bass), Adam Fletcher (drums), Carys Jones and Katherine Pennington (guitars).
The intro rumbles along with some impressive bass work and a rock steady beat, whilst lyrics hint of beauty and temptation. The song then opens up to an expanse of grunge guitars and soaring vocals. Babe Punch have mastered the art of power and poise. Long may they continue!
