Cosmorat are back with a message from the heavens: BE LIKE ME.
Cosmorat have a track record of assembling songs with the kind of care and attention normally associated with a Savile Row tailor. In short, Cosmorat are Haut Couture for the ears. Imagine a fusion of early Pink Floyd with CLT DRP and you’ll get the picture.
Singer Taylor (Trae) Pollock has more energy than the entire London underground. On BE LIKE ME, she’s part high school cheerleader, part devil incarnate. Pollock’s Mid-West American accent adds to the charm of the song, and her musical soulmate, guitarist Olly Liu, creates an atmospheric marching band sound to go with the tub-thumping beat. Thematically the song pokes fun at the commercialisation of religion, and the seductive appeal it has to the desperate and insecure. All of this is wonderfully captured on the song’s video.
Cosmorat’s imaginative artistic style will surely lead to greater success. Praise the Lord.
