Cactus Lane – Hivemind
Cactus Lane are here with their latest single ‘Hivemind’. This isn’t a song to get you rocking around the Christmas tree, no, it’s one to listen to when you want to demolish it.
‘Hivemind’ is an up tempo, power-poise, energy drink of a song. It’s got the kind of feel good factor you get from a Bryan Adams track, with an extra dash of distortion just for the hell of it.
Australian rock bands have often struggled to step out of the shadow of artists like AC/DC and INXS on the international stage. But things are changing. Think of Amyl and The Sniffers or the re-formed Mammal. Ok, so I know they’re both from Melbourne and Cactus Lane are from Sydney, but let’s not start a pub fight. Cactus Lane are well placed to take the world by storm. They’re producing consistently great songs (check out their debut 2022 EP ‘Yesterday’s Heaven’ for starters).
