The Leeds based band have built up an enthusiastic following as a result of previous singles ‘Jenny’ and ‘Bleached Blond’. ‘ROT’ kicks it up another gear with even more power and emotional intensity.
‘ROT’ is Ocean Floor’s most raw track to date. It begins with a fusion of buzz saw guitars and super-fast paradiddle snare drum beats; think Green Day mashed with Blink 182 and you’ll get the picture. By the time the chorus kicks in the sonic shotgun that is Phoebe Kirkham’s vocals has you pinned to the back wall. Phoebe’s voice is so powerful it would make an opera singer blush.
