Shelf Lives – Uncle Fred

‘Uncle Fred’ by the Shelf Lives is the real deal. These two beautiful people are so good. I mean a bath full of Cristal champagne in the Portobello hotel good. I’m talking cruising in a Rolls Royce Spectre raked with bullet holes good.
If you put Fat Boy Slim, the Prodigy and the Sex Pistols in a room and allowed the angst to ferment ‘Uncle Fred’ is what you’d get.

Shelf Lives have a knack of producing songs that are raw but poised. There’s more going on in ‘Uncle Fred’ than there are channels on a mixing desk. It’s skilfully produced and wonderfully engaging – I guarantee you’ll be forming your own circle pit in the kitchen.
Catch these guys live if you can (link to dates here). They are legitimately the next big thing, and we should all be Shelf Lives freaks.
