The Lookout Service – Rough Around the Edges

“I want you to feel the rhythm baby”, shouts Stergios Kalochoridis of the Lookout Service, before the Led Zeppelin-esque intro to ‘Rough Around the Edges’ kicks in.  Taken from the Toronto band’s upcoming debut album ‘The Gambit’ this song is on our list for best single of the year.

Released on the same day as The Rolling Stones ‘Hackney Diamonds’ album, this track stands shoulder to shoulder with the great British rockers.  It’s certainly no exaggeration to say that The Lookout Service play with the same dynamic energy as the Stones.

Stergios Kalochoridis and drummer Rob Ragazzo produce a powerful and confident performance on ‘Rough Around the Edges’.  It’s raw but controlled, and if people still headbanged at gigs this song would get them going for sure.

The Lookout Service are an authentic riff rock band, and kings in waiting.  Check out the video for ‘Rough Around the Edges’ below and you’ll see what we mean.  These guys need an arena to play in, hell even a stadium!  Maybe they should give the Rolling Stones a call.
