Ruby Archer – Crazy

Ruby Archer is a multi-award winning singer, songwriter and musician from New South Wales, Australia. Her band Ruby and the Groovy Doobies is whipping up a storm, gaining rave reviews for their live performances. Not bad for someone who’s just turned eighteen.
Ruby Archer comes from a musical family and took to the piano at an early age. She’s built on that early legacy, honing her song writing skills and musicianship to a point where she’s now creating some of the most vital and expressive songs you’ll hear this year.

Ruby’s latest single ‘Crazy’ will be released on 21st July. It opens up with beautiful, almost lyrical, piano before her vocals kick in. Much has been written about Ruby’s raspy vocal style, but there’s more to it than that – she burns through every note. Her soft Aussie accent adds weight and emotional intensity, and has you hanging on to every word she sings. It’s a theme that runs throughout Ruby’s songs; check out the video to ‘New Dream’ and you’ll see what I mean.
It’s clear Ruby Archer has a great future ahead of her, and one thing’s for sure: She isn’t crazy.
